POETRY

a note from your editor . . .

Welcome all your lovers out there! What is your hearts’ desire this year? While we don’t need a special day to celebrate our passions, there’s a collective energy around this “horror day,” isn’t there? Whether it’s an historical commemoration of priests marrying young soldiers and their lovers in secret or with various other bloody events, it is a time to reflect on whom—and what—we love . . . including all those activities that we choose to do in those dark and shadowed spaces and keep to ourselves.

Please join me in thanking all the poets who gifted us—and you—with these poems! If you’re still searching for the perfect gift, perhaps you, too, will be inspired to pen a poem . . . Just make sure that you inscribe it in the most sacred of elixirs!

Until next time . . .
