Welcome to our Love Bites Issue.
It’s February. Time for hearts and roses and Valentine’s Day and everything that is loving in this world. We here at Moonlit Path like to see both sides of the chocolate coin. Can you hate someone you’ve never loved? What’s worse in this world than losing a valued relationship? Obviously, sometimes, love isn’t all puppydogs and rainbows. Sometimes, love is the dirty, skanky snow in the street once it starts to melt, love can be the scum ring around your tub, it can… well, it can really bite.
Most of the fiction in this issue revolves around love “biting” in some way. Carlos R. Savournin has also expanded this theme in his review of Christopher Moore’s best selling novel, “You Suck.” And don’t forget to enter our “Love Bites” contest because if you are human, you have at one time, no doubt, experienced the gnashing, violent, biting pain we also call “love.”
Our Feature fiction piece is Maureen Wilkinson’s “Flower in the Hand Yard.” A story that takes this idea and gives it… uh, teeth.
