Midnight Mass on Netflix is certainly methodical but ultimately so engaging you’ll find yourself clenching whatever’s clenchable, unable to look away. For me, the writing was center stage, ideally scripted to support a setting that so beautifully sustains the vulnerability of the characters. Be warned, however, that if you prefer action over substance, this might not be for you, but the patient viewer will be well rewarded. One of the most thought provoking adaptations of a genre, that I know so well, ever conceived. Enjoy.
