entwine for Valentine tryst
screams and blood all night

 


 

headless Valentine
severed by a thousand snakes
date with Medusa

 


 

first, her cold blown kiss
last, a trickle down her chin
he never got home

 


 

Gary Davis enjoys exercising his imagination through crafting dark or darkly humorous haiku and other forms of poetry.  He finds haiku, in particular, both challenging and fun.  Mr. Davis has published haiku in Tales from the Moonlit Path, ScifaikuestStar*Line and Lupine Lunes (2016-2021).  He has published other poetry in Tales of the TalismanBloodbondIllumenSpaceports & SpidersilkZen of the Dead and a sci-fi anthology, Keplers Cowboys (2014-2020).
