POETRY GUIDELINES

Craving some ghoulishly delicious poetry delights? Check back soon! By Halloween at midnight we will have them all up for you to read!

After an extended hiatus, Tales from the Moonlit Path has returned! We are so looking forward to reading and publishing your poetry and otherwise welcoming you back into our clutches (Ah-er, I mean, inner sanctum . . .).  As before, we will be publishing dark poetry in all of its multi-faceted forms.  While we aren’t a paying market at present, it is our sincerest hope that this will change over time. Without further ado, here are our current submission guidelines:

  • Following your brief note to YT, include no more (and no less) than three to five poems at a time. While we prefer unpublished work, reprints are fine as long as you indicate this in your email and credit the prior publication.
  • Please include a short bio of approximately 100 to 150 words. While we do care about your accolades and the organizations to which you belong, we’d rather that you share something unique about yourself.
  • Send your poems within the body of an email to poetry@talesmoonlitpath.com. Your subject line should read something like this one: Tales from the Moonlit Path Poetry Submission/Last Name/”Poem Title 1;” “Poem Title 2;” and “Poem Title 3.”
  • Response times will vary depending on the number of submissions received. Thank you for your patience! If it’s been over a month since you’ve heard from me, however, please send a polite nudge.

Looking forward to your submissions!

Yours in the Darkness,

Terrie Leigh Relf
